Josh Marshall a 28 year old father from Kansas said his 8 year-old son, Gabriel Marshall, who’s battling brain cancer felt “insecure” about the scar left behind on the right side of his head after having surgery to remove a brain tumor.
So Marshall got a tattoo that matches his son’s scar. A picture of the head-matching father and son was entered into the #BestBaldDad contest sponsored by the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, a childhood cancer charity.
“Me and my son at this year’s St. Baldrick’s event in Wichita, Kansas. Got my son’s scar tattooed to help his self confidence,” Marshall wrote with his photo submission.
The pic was a winner, nabbing first place with over 5,000 votes and bragging rights for Marshall as the world’s best bald dad.
