Aspartame (a combination of many chemicals including aspartic acid, methanol, and phenylalanine) can produce a brain-tumor chemical when broken down.

3. Monosodium glutamate (MSG) 
*MSG or also known as Monosodium glutamate is a concentrated form of a salt, added to foods to enhance flavor. It can trick the taste buds and the brain to think that the food is delicious, at the  same time stimulating the production of excess dopamine.
MSG can be found in canned soups and vegetables, salad dressing, barbecue sauce, bouillon cubes, and other processed foods. This ingredient is related to brain damage and other neurological diseases including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, lupus, MS, etc.
4. Gluten
*This protein can be found in barley, spelt, wheat, kamut and rye. It can bind to the small intestinal wall, and lead to disorders of the immune and digestive system including celiac disease.
Non-celiac, gluten sensitivity is a condition which can contribute to inflammatory disorders of the brain and nervous system. A number of studies proved that gluten sensitivity is associated with disorders of the spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and brain. Also, gluten is closely related to cognitive impairment, dementia, and psychiatric disorders.
5. Refined Sugar
*It has a negative effect on our brain. It can suppress a growth hormone known as BDNF, essential for the brain. Low BDNF levels in a combination with sugar intake can worsen the conditions in people suffering fromrefined sugar can disrupt the digestive and immune system, and increase inflammation, thus increasing the risk of depression and schizophrenia. It is recommended that people who want to improve their clarity and mental mood and those who suffer from depression should avoid refined sugar.
